• Runoff Election Today –

The election to fill the vacant West Memphis Ward 4 City Council seat is today. Polls are open from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Candidates are David Murray and Arburt Robinson.

The Crittenden County Election Commission will tally the results for the West Memphis City Council Special Election Runoff at the 7th Street Church of Christ.

The public is invited to attend.

• Vacation Bible School “Farm Fresh Faith” now through Thursday, June 13 from 9 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at Avondale Missionary Baptist Church, 1101 Balfour, West Memphis. For ages kindergarten through teens.

• Hope House Ministries Food Give Away – The next Hope House Ministries Food Give Away will be Friday, June 14. Please call for your appointment on May 20,2019, 870-732-4902.

• Earle First United Methodist Church – Salad and sandwich luncheon and bake sale Saturday, June 15 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.

Sponsored by United Methodist Women and will be held in Morrison Fellowship Hall. Cost is $10 per person.

• FBC West Memphis Creativity Camp – Wednesday, June 12, 19, 26, July 10, 17,24,31 from 6 to 7 p.m. Choose your 1st and 2nd choice: Fishing and camping for Christ l-6th grade; music (Ukulele) 3rd-6th grade; Gardening-completed 2nd-6th grade; music and crafts for little people – 4 and 5 year olds (must be 4 yrs. before 9-1518), kitchen chaos 1 -6th grade; basketball l-6th grade; and jewelry making/art, l-6th grade.

• The Good Neighbor Love Center – Starting in June the center will be having mobile giveaway every month instead of bi-monthly. Next giveaway is scheduled for June 28 at Old St. Paul Church from 10 a.m.

until 2 p.m. New applications and vouchers will be available until June 26, 2019. For more information call the center at 870-735-0870.

• ASU Mid-South Annual Delta Market – Each Saturday this summer, through Sept. 7. Fresh produce, vegetables, arts and crafts vendors and specialty food. On the North Campus.

• Earle Notice of Destruction of Special Education Records – The Earle School District will be destroying special education records for the school year 2012/2013. If you graduated in 2012 or attended the Earle School District during 2012/2013 school year, you can contact the Earle School District SPED Department to pick up these records. Records will be destroyed after June 13. Earle Community Center/SPED Office (870) 792-7557.

• West Memphis High School Class of 1964 55th Class Reunion – Friday, June 14 buffet meal at Panchos from 6 p.m. until closing. $16 per person and Saturday, June 15 at the Country Club. $40 single, $75 per couple. • Crittenden County Health Unit – The Crittenden County Health Unit will have special hours on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday, from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. These adjusted hours give the unit the opportunity to stay open later to accommodate those who are not able to come during normal business hours. • Dunbar Creative Learning Center – Now Accepting New Applications “Infant and Toddler Program” Ages 6 weeks to 36 months, 320 Lee Street, Earle (behind the church). Open Monday-Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Drop-Ins Welcome. State Licensed, C.P.R. Certified. All meals included, experienced care givers. DCC/CCDF Voucher and Self Pay Accepted. • After-School At-Risk Program – Total Deliverance Cathedral Church is participating in the Child and Adult Care Food Program. Meals will be provided at the following locations: Total Deliverance Cathedral Church, 400 Commerce St., Earle, supper Monday through Friday at 3:15 p.m. (snacks) and 4:15 to 5 p.m.; Saturday and days of no school, from noon to 1:15 p.m.; New Bethel MB Church, 11 Swindle Rd, Earle, supper served every Wednesday from 7 p.m. (snack) and 7:45 to 8:15 p.m.; Lion of the Tribe of Judah, 105 Sneed St., Marked Tree, supper from 7:45 (snack) and 8:30 to 9:30 p.m. Every Sunday from noon to 1:15 p.m. Total Deliverance Cathedral Church, 131 Front St., Parkin, supper M-F after school at 4:15 to 5 p.m., snacks at 5:30 p.m. Whole Truth Church, 524 2nd St., Earle, supper served every Wednesday from 7:30-8:15 p.m. and 8:15-8:45 p.m.
